go to a parts store and they will hook it up to see what codes come up. if codes come up then your bulb in your dash cluster is burned out.

That is the upstream AF sensor number. Good to use Denso also. If the heater circuit of the upstream AF sensor goes out, you will get a code. I have replaced two of those on different Tacos and they both had CEL and code.

There could be other things causing your mileage issue.

Did your mileage just recently go down?
Any other noticeable change in the engine performance or idle?
When is the last time the spark plugs were changed? Did you gap them?
    Plug wires?
    Air filter?
Getting gas from a new place?
    Winter gas already?
    Any tire/wheel changes?

I bought the truck a month ago and have calculated my gas a few times. 17.3, 12.5, 15.2, 14.4. the 17 was about 40% highway and the rest were mostly around town, but I still think that's kind of low. I was driving as light-footed as I could. I replaced air filter and diff fluids. I'm replacing the pcv valve tomorrow and the fuel filter within the next two weeks. I have no records of any maintenance and from the looks of the diff drain and fill plugs(Super Rusty), I'm going to say that the plugs and wires have never been done. I usually stick to the same gas station.
