I can take criticism but honestly have never heard of anyone doing a full bevel on .120 wall tube for a roll cage and I've been fabricating for 10+ years. We're not doing full pen pipeline welds here. I do bevel tubes a tiny bit but only to knock down the thin areas so I'm welding to thicker areas. This actually isn't my first cage that I've installed. My last truck, I bought an ORS cage kit and welded it myself but the exo is the first one I've done from scratch. Some pics of the last cage I installed.

Some shit I got on craigslist
Disclaimer: I know nothing about fabrication.

This thread on DR has a cage similar to what you're doing. Dude seems to have mad skills so you might use it as best practices (he got a ton of shit in comments too). Just posting this pic bc I saw it and thought it relevant. Love your truck.

Well then  The guy can melt 2 tubes together but whats up with all these tubes that lead nowhere? The X behind the cab looks good but I question if he has all these skills, why not take the cage into the cab where it matters most? What he built might protect his passengers head (whoever is sitting in the extra cab part) but not his. Pretty overkill for mounting a couple shocks and stiffening up the rear frame section IMO. My bed cage will tie into the exo and take up a lot less bed space than his. Also curious why he didn't build his beams any wider from the start.

I saw this today and had to share, I think you need to start over, this is to good not to copy. Looks like it really protects the body judging by the way the front is caved in.
