Yours has a 4 post booster to where my 03 has a 2 post. Also that looks just like the willwood MC i just got from summit which is a “Chrysler type” with 1.063 bore. Still may do hydro boost after I talk to Howe tomorrow

Ever get to test out your brake master setup?
I’m a couple weeks away from deciding which one works best. I’ve been waiting silently for you guys to cough up the secrete recipe.

Yeah I installed an earlier model year Tacoma dual diaphragm booster and a Sky adapter. I may have been able to use my stock 2 bolt booster with the Dodge van master, who knows. Also I bet I paid a whole lot less for my master than you did lol

It was an NRG hub for a 98 Tacoma with the NRG disconnect and a Nardi wheel. I ended up taking the disconnect out so I could actually reach my turn signals and wipers without taking my hand off the wheel. Works great.

1.063" bore works great with my 3/4 ton and 1/2 ton old Chevy brake calipers. Going to depend a lot on what calipers you run honestly. If your calipers have bigger or smaller pistons (bigger or smaller surface area that fluid is pushing on) a different master may work better for you. Its the ratio between master bore and caliper pistons that you're trying to perfect.

I gotcha. I’ll be using stock 05+ Superduty 3/4 ton factory rotors and calipers for now... so bigger the better of course on my booster/master setup.
That’s why I was curious. I’ll figure out caliper bore/size and see what I come up with.
Just wanna do it once, and right... :fingerscrossed:

Figure out what bore size is on a 05+ Superduty and try that on your truck...

1-5/16” GM master with the factory Tacoma dual diaphragm booster is what I used on my 05+ super duty’s factory brakes and it is honestly the best brake setup I’ve ever had.

Something you should know also for reference.... 2 bolt are single, 4 bolt are dual.

One would assume that, but I didn’t know that for a fact. Hence why I asked. But I do now, thank you.

    Common practice for 4x4:
95.5-00 are 4 bolt (all I've seen are 4 bolt)
01-04 are 2 bolt (These year don't have a 4 bolt from factory)

If you’re looking for a dual 4 bolt, look for a 1t t100. They use a 4 bolt dual diaphragm booster with a 1.07” MC.

    Picture:
    Left is 02 taco
    Right is 1T t100

Thanks for the info! I know it’s out there already somewhere. But I appreciate you laying it out there! That helps a lot.
While we are on this topic though, when using said 4 bolt booster and desired masters. Are you guys finding that the master push rods are working factory or need to be shortened/lengthened?
I’m sure I’ll figure that out in a few days also. Just looking for already learned knowledge.

4 bolt booster. I bought the sky manufacturing adapter and had to make my own plunger/pushrod extension and that was it. Oh, and a wildwood prop valve for the rear
