    Thanks!

I saw jberrys light bar and had to have the Relentless low pro light bar mounts. Got those yesterday :D I could have made my own pretty easily but sometimes its better to just buy a piece from someone who has done the work already. Like my lower link brackets

Sometimes the buy vs build just makes sense.

I follow you on instagram. This thread makes me cream my pants! IMHO, this is the sexiest SAS build on here.

If you don't mind me asking, how much are you into parts for the build so far?

Looks great. You must get that thing off-road with pics ASAP when you're done.

    Sub'd.

I'm not entirely sure how much I have in parts, maybe around 10k? The best part is this truck has been cheaper to build than my last truck if you include the price of the vehicle :) And my last truck had a Waggy D44 swap on 37's with a stock rear axle.

Welp, ordered the winch anyway. Should be plenty sufficient for my needs.

Got the transfer case mount finished last night, now the drivetrain can rest on its own :) More pictures of that later...

Welp 99% of the fab work is done. The last 1% is finish welding the driver side lower link bracket that I've been putting off for a while  Removed the stock brake master today and I have to do some slight modifications to the new 3/4 ton Chevy master to get it to bolt on to the stock booster. Quick bench bleed, new lines and the brake system will be ready to go. Still haven't gotten to steering or battery wiring yet, maybe next weekend if all goes well.

Pretty sleeper-ish with the stock bumper huh?

Dang, this is turning out real nice! I would have commented earlier in this thread but didn't stumble upon it til today. It's got a nice stance to it, can't wait to see it when you pull it out of the shop. I like how you capped where the shock hoops mount to.

I'm going to shoot you a pm about later today about rubicon.

I loved my Smitty, after I cracked her open and re-sealed everything with silicone I was pretty sure I could submerge it in water and it would still work. That would be the first thing to do IMO when you get it.

It looks a lot different than the XRC8 I had. LMK how it is.

I'm curious to see if they used actual grease instead of poop like they did in the older models. The damn thing almost took two people pulling on the rope just to slowly free spool until I repacked the grease.

It didn't spool out at first, I thought it was fucked up but it turned out to be a disconnected wire in the solenoid. (Smittybilt's troubleshooting/support/customer service is really good though, BTW)

The lever has a detent that rusted and caused the lever to jam at the worst possible time. You couldn't see/inspect it unless it was removed and I had assumed the gears were fucked up somehow and caused the jam. When I found the real problem, I put some anti-seize on the lever/detent and never had a problem after that.
