I've searched the TW forum and can't find a picture of a 1st Gen driver's side grab handle. My passenger side is seamless with the A-pilar, is the drivers side the same way on other year models? I realize the 01 was NOT offered with the drivers side...but will the other year models fit?

I'm hoping there will be but when I look for the part it shows up as almost a "bolt on" option, not an incorporated option if that makes sense.

Passenger side looks like this. Can I find a driver's side that looks like this also?

I'd love to have a driver's side that matches the passenger. I'd use it to help me from f'ing up my great condition OEM seat cushion!

I think I just read in the other similar thread that only the 01s of the 01-04 didn’t have a driver’s grab handle.

Yes sir. I've read that but I'm wondering if the the other model years would fit seamlessly into my A-pilar. I would be more than happy to purchase one. All the OEM website diagrams make it look like it more bolt on than seamless though.

Couldn’t you just procure an 02-04 drivers side a-pillar with the grab handle and then tap some holes if need be?

I can’t imagine they changed anything with how the pillar mounts between the years.

The only thing would be if the bolts would have threads in your body or not.

I haven’t taken my 04 interior a part but my 98 a-pillar was just held in with a couple of clips.

That's what I'm hoping to do but when I look up the handle the parts diagram looks like this....which to me doesn't look like it's like my passenger side handle

I never go off stock images from product lists but that does look like the 95-00 handle.

When I get home I’ll take a picture of my 04 pillar

That would be awesome! Like I mentioned, I'm more than willing to buy one but I want to make sure it matches the passenger side.

Pull your a pillar and see what's back there. Is there something to bolt one too already, or space to make something up?

Guessing you'll want a whole a pillar / handle assembly from an '02 up, as there is likely some contour in those that you don't have.

This is exactly what I'm hoping for. I'm going to try and pull the handle tomorrow and find out if the holes are there.

Pulled my '01 pillar to check and align my holes correctly. I used one of the threaded holes for a RAM mount for my GPSMap.
(Also mounted a LifeHammer while I was at it)

Yeah I think he does a guage mount? (Mine's on my dash)
Anyway, you should be good to mount whatever into those holes, just need to get a little inventive.

I'd be completely psyched with a "smooth" fitting handle!
