:brianr: thanks! It would still be a 3-4 day trip cause im not going to drive 32hours straight:eek:

Ill put it on my list but its like a 5% chance of it happening, 4,000 miles is alot for a road trip to wheel for a weekend and turn around!

Haha i have no freaking clue right now really, just kind of reading around and learning as much as i can but it wont happend till i can find a new DD for ease of it i may just do the 4" TG kit but i talked to a guy at Gulches that does it and looked at his work and it looked really good and from what i understand he will do the swap for around 5k but will take him a couple months but for the price i wouldnt complain a bit...so basically still weighing my options but do plan to start working on something by nxt july hopefully!

sounds like a plan! I would scrap together your own parts, and skip TG. TG outsources almost all their stuff to china, which is a shame... :( Plus you will save money getting parts together from junkyards and such.

I would love to SAS, but there is no super hardcore terrain or rocks here in FL, so LT is more practical. But, in the long run, good 'ole toyota IFS will serve me well.

Yea its up top cause i have no where else to hook anything up to my battery so i need the extra sideposts:eek:

I wouldnt get the TG axle, just all the other odd and end things they include in their kits..I would probably do some kind of custom axles and gear up around 5.29 and 35's hence the reason for only 4" leafs for now till down the road when shit can get expensive and start doing coilover

As for LT I  over that too! but after SAS I would probably just haul mine around to different places like Harlan to wheel it and maybe DD it once or twice a week for shits and giggles but i will beat the living hell out of the IFS untill all this happens :D...and on that note, to be IFS it has damn sure surprised me with some of the things ive done in it!

I thought the same thing, seen a few people use their full kit "C" and not have any issues! but we shall see how things pan out

I will avoid TG because they outsource almost everything they sell to China. I emailed them about this (because I thought it was a rumor that they make their stuff in china), but they said almost everything on their site is outsourced to "asia" and the guy said that its their policy to not to disclose what country they outsource to...IMO thats kinda sketchy. As a consumer I should be able to know where my stuff I am paying big bucks for is coming from.

    So more than likely Asia=china.

Their stuff may be quality,, and well made but I would rather support a small shop stateside that makes their stuff in the USA, with US made materials. I plan on going Avid and 4X Innovations for all my armor...I originally wanted TG. And US steel is a lot tougher than chinese steel, I want it to count if I get into an accident..

Lots of people dont care about where their stuff comes from, but IMO if more people did there would be more manufacturing/industry in the US, and more jobs.
    ..
Anyways, sorry for the threadjack and the soapbox display...:D

I see where your coming from and i to have supported more stateside businesses and havent baugh anything armor wise from across seas, like i said earlier i will most likely goto that guy thats in Greenville that does the swaps and let him do it for me since the price is right!

the highest i want to go is 37's but no the guy in that green truck had the swap done by a fabricator that works there on the weekends but has his own shop about 30 miles down the road and i see he does a lot of good work and he gets good compliments! The guy with that green taco is one of the guides around the park.
