I called TG and they said their stuff was made right there in CA. :notsure:
All the TG stuff I've seen and used seems extremely stong and well made anyway.

As for the recovery shackle tabs, why have them when you already have a receiver mounted one?

Thats not what they told me.

I had to email them 3 times before they finally told me their outsourced to china. The first 2 times they told me they couldn't tell their consumers where their parts were made...just that most of them were outsourced. Which is BS...I am a potential consumer and they wouldn't tell me where they make their stuff??

Wish I would have kept their emails.

And you are right, their shit is made well...no doubt. But there are a lot of Americans out there that dont have jobs anymore because the company they worked for decided to outsource.

Shit won't let me multi quote on my phone but I'm in it a bit more than $300.

And like I said I don't think I'll be doing the steps but if I did they woul be bolt on... I wasn't a fan of many bumpers either and I actually stole designs from 4x, boxrockets and beefed but it all ended up being completely different in the end and I'm more than happy with it and supporting a local shop, they will be doing my SAS as well..

I'm still stickig to my shit being one off so I can say I'm the only one with it till I get bored of it and want something different , ill be doing some things to my front bumper soon as well:spy:

Edit: best part is that I gained about 6" departure angle over stock bumper and hitch!

Damn... are you sure it isn't just the raw materials that are outsourced? It's just hard to believe that something well built could come out of that country haha.
In all honesty, I would have preferred 4xInnovations stuff but between the shipping costs and the fact that I could stop by the Addicted Offroad shop to pick up the TG stuff and have them installed there too is what did it for me.

Yea that's my thing to, figured I'd just keep the receiver mounted one and use the shackle mounts on my bedrack for ties downs or something

No, they said that they manufacture in china.

Unless the dude didn't know what he was talking about...

There were also a couple threads on pirate4x4 and ttora about it too.

Their prices are kinda hard to believe if its made in the USA... $300 for a bumper? $200 for welded sliders?

And Chad, sorry for clouding up your build...I will stop

Total material and labor, material was 150-200.
And since I kind of helped with a lot of the mock up and shit my labor charges were only for 2 hrs. Let's just say I got out pretty easy for the most part.... Would have been $50 cheaper had I not gotten the tabs and caps

Ok guys...I emailed trail gear specifically about their tacoma bumpers and sliders and the guy that emailed me back said that the Taco bumpers and sliders are made in house in Fresno, CA.

    so... :notsure:

I guess the first guy that I emailed didn't know what he was talking about.

Makes sense... I didn't think it would be financially feasible (at the prices they are selling these things at) to have things that heavy/bulky to ship to the states. So I wonder if it's just small parts that are outsourced? :notsure:

Yeah. I am glad they actually do make these bumpers in the USA...I like their rear the best out of anything out there (the fact its basic and has a receiver without being a class 3)

And they are one of the only ones that sell fully welded sliders.

    Def going with them now.

I might shoot 'em another email and ask what they do outsource.

I really gotta get out there and clean thing up to paint it! All this damn rain just won't co-operate with me..

And we hooked a jeep up to the side protection and pulled it across the lot with no flex in it what do ever, so far it's been fine. Need to tow something and see how that goes but I feel sure it will be perfectly fine!
