Do you like the powertrax locker? I've got a prerunner too and was wondering how much did it help?

I love it!! It works great!! I have been off roading with guys, and they don't even realize that my truck is not 4wd until I tell them! It takes a little bit of getting used to on the road, but its not hard to drive with!

    4wd conversion update:

Picked up another transmission yesterday, and today I worked on cleaning up my driveshafts, and greased them and replaced a few grease fittings. Then I painted my 4wd center console, turned out pretty good!

Thanks man!! I am really close to being able to get everything put on. I am missing a few bolts here and there, and i have to buy CVs, and Ball joints all around, but as soon as I do that, it will be install time! I just pray that goes as smoothly as i think it will! :notsure:

So I have gotten all my new ball joints, and extra nuts and bolts and things. I forgot to order one thing the nuts for the Diff mounting bolts, going to try to find some nuts at lowes or a tractor supply store or check all the old stuff I cut off and see what i got!

But be on the lookout for my install pictures soon, Im going to try to take plenty!

How much and where did you get the front regeared at? I'm comfortable regearing the rear myself but the front I don't want to mess with. You need to get some factory cv. The Auto Zone ones are a hit or miss it seems like. If you ever need parts just let me know I work at the new one at 601 and 49.

I can message you the guys name and number who did it. He works at overdrive rebuilds right on hwy 49 next to where terminal trucking used to be. I had the diff out of the truck and took it to him, he charged $100 cash.

I picked up a set of stock ones the week after I broke that one. Thanks, I might hit you up!

Another guy who had it done by him was charged $200 but that was having him take it out of the truck and put it back in.
