02 2rz into 98 tacacoma

Hi there,

I post a thread but didn't get much help. I came into a conclusion, can I rebuild my old 98 2rz head and just slap on the 02 bottom block? This way I don't have to deal with any wiring, and just use my 98 harness on this build. Does anybody knows if this will work. The reason I am doing this because the 2002 engine harness leave me two extra plug wire after I plug the 02 ECU. The extra two plug wire has no plug to go to. Inside the glove department now leave me 1 plug open that the new harness plug will not fit. Plus, in the engine bay, I think there couple parts I need to make sure this 02 2rz motor will run right. Any body has a clear picture of an 2002 2rz engine bay. I am so confuse and lost of hope ! Trying to get this truck smog too. Plus I need my truck back asap. Please help the brother out!
