Well, I have the wheels and calipers off to replace the front rotors on my 02 prerunner. I want to repack the wheel bearings while I there. the hub has a cap on the end of it. Whats the procedure to get the hubs off?
    Thanks

    Thanks Chris 4x4
Guess I won't be greasing those puppies!
Any idea how long these bearings usually last? All street driving.

I've got 161K on my front hub bearings, and they're still going strong. You'll know when they start to go bad, they'll howl pretty good, especially when making large radius turns.

Hi, I am right in the same boat as I write. I just pulled my calipers and rotors off with full intention to repack wheel bearings. Surprise!!! Nothing like what I was expecting. I've got about 180,000 on it now. How long can I expect these wheel bearings will go. I drive all street. I appreciate any feed back.
