    Hello once again TW
I have come across an issue that I need some help figuring out.
on my 02 Tacoma driver side bolt has been giving me some trouble. I found the bolt damaged and leaking oil. I tightened it up and it was fine. Then took it off road and bolt came loose again but this time when I tightened it the oil would still leak threw. Yes at this point I basically didn’t have any brakes. Made it to an auto zone and got a new bolt. Everything was fine until I lost my brakes again. Looked at the bolt and a chunk was missing. Turns out at full turn out the bolt hits my coilover spring. Has this happened to anyone else? It’s only on driver side. Any way to adjust this?
I’m also doing a tundra brake swap soon and don’t want to be having same issue.
    Thanks

Your coilover spring is hitting the banjo bolt. Pretty common with AM adjustable coilovers...
First you can try is to take weight off each shock at a time, support with jack stands and use a crowbar or prybar to pry between spring and spindle to move in the spring a 1/4" away from the spindle and more towards the frame. Paint the tip of the bolt, take it offroad see if it hits.

Another option is to grind, using an angle grinder 1/8"-3/16" off the top of the bolt head.

I believe with Tundra calipers the bolts don't make contact with the spring at all because they're designed differently.

I smell a Tundra upgrade soon...

I don't recall anyone having this issue with the Tundra brakes. I've been considering this for a while now - just because I can...

I'll have to look at my Kings and make sure mine don't hit. If so, I'll have to brake the news to my wife I "need" the Tundra brakes, lol.

I tired moving spring but no luck. I think if I rotate the spring it might actually help clear it, but this would require taking off most of the preload to be able to rotate it. For now I try to avoid full turns and bumpy roads. Getting ready for tundra brakes maybe ill rotate the spring then as an extra precaution.

Same thing happened to my girlfriends 1st gen with 2.5 Icons! I just saw it this past Sunday! Wiped it real good and tightened it.
I was thinking of getting some different brake lines and banjo bolt to see if it sits farther away from the coilover.

Is there a place that sells the entire tundra kit where you can get everything you need at once?

Calipers, rotors and pads for a 2002 tundra 4x4 v8 will get you the correct parts. Just confirm the calipers has 13WL casted on them.
