02 Tacoma Signal light problem.

    I have an 02 Tacoma double cab and I have problem with my signal lamp on my drivers tail lamp. the bulb is fine and blinks the it is very intermittent with the flashing speed. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Check you ground cables.. that could cause an issue. And turn on your hazards.. see if theres a difference in the 2 tail light assemblies. I believe if the drivers side is dimmer it could be a faulty ground or 12v wire
    (experience: similar problem happened to me, and had a faulty ground)

    If you have a trailer light harness, check the plug for corrosion. Very common for a corroded plug to screw up the truck's lighting system.

    used to have - 99 2.4L I4 5 lug & 04 prerunner v6
    mainly its in that little converter box between the plug and tail light wires, the little circuit board inside them shorts out

    So true, Karl, but usually you only lose the trailer lights when that box goes. Corrosion on the plug will back feed into the light system and cause issues with lights on the truck.
