    Good Morning Group.
I am wanting to change the front/rear diff fluid as well as my trany fluid in my 03 4x4 tacoma and was wondering what type/weight fluid to use in the differentials? Also, I am going to change the trans fluid as well and wanted to know if there is a specific brand of trans fluid that is suggested and is there a filter that I can change once I drop the drain pan?

    Thanks!!

http://www.4x4wire.com/toyota/maintenance/tacoma_4runner_30k/maintenancep4.htm decent write up to include diffs and tranny.
https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fun-transmission-fluid-and-filter-change.97562/ some good info and links

I just go to wal-mart buy the valvoline maxlife synthetic dex/merc gallon, drain the pan and replace what comes out. I do this about every third or fourth oil change. Nothings blown up or over heated yet...2001 DC V6 auto.

The diffs are straight forward just make sure you have the sockets and hex drives and a fluid pump.

Front and rear diffs (and transfer case) take 75w90 gear oil....I use Valvoline brand myself but Redline is a highly recommended brand on here. The auto trans doesn't take gear oil like the manual trans does, it takes ATF (automatic transmission fluid). Not sure on which one specifically but I hear that it's best to stick with the Toyota brand

^^^ this, the diffs and t-case are really easy to do yourself, no need to pay crazy labor fees on stuff like that. But be sure that you loosen the fill plug on them BEFORE removing the drain plug. You don't want to drain them only to find out that you can't get the fill plug loose to put more in...
