When I go to start the truck I will have the clutch all the way in and be in neutral and it will start for a second then immediately turn off. When I put it in 1st gear the truck starts right up. Any ideas on what could be happening?

Some back ground Did this just start ?? New to you truck ??

Might very well be some sort of anti theft idea the truck only cranks and starts in first gear.

Unless moving the clutch pedal is enough to close the clutch safety switch.

my first step would be to jump the clutch safety switch and see what happens after that.

Do you have a clutch cancel switch?
If so put it in neutral, turn the key to the position before the engine cranks push the clutch cancel and try to start it. If no clutch cancel button, then I could only think to do what @Wyoming09 said and jump or bypass the button that the clutch pedal itself pushes and see what happens then go from there

In neutral do you mean it cranks then quits or it starts then quits??

Does the truck stall as you shift through neutral while driving or if in neutral while stopped ??
