Hello TC so I've had this problem for a while now and am not 100% sure on what the problem could be. I have a 2003 Taco double cab 3.4 with 5100s in the rear (no lift) and factory leaf springs. Tires are also 285/75/16 instead of factory 265s. Truck has 166k miles on it. What my problem is is that sometimes when I'm cruising at a decent speed (15mph+) and I hit a bump while turning (and sometimes while going straight, too) I can feel my whole rear end sway. (At least it feels like its my rear end.) Its usually not too bad but the other day I hit a bump on the fwy when turning on to another freeway going about ~50mph when my rear end swayed a pretty decent amount and almost caused me to lose control.

What could be causing me this problem and what can I do to diagnose and fix it? I want to get this taken care of asap as my Taco is my daily driver and I would be devastated if I totalled it. :help:

TLDR: Rear end is swaying when I hit bumps. What could be causing this problem?

You know what I checked my sway bar end links and the bushings are kind of ripped and the links move a bit when I try moving them around. Are they supposed to move or be super stiff?

Have you made sure you don't have a broken rear spring?

The frame isn't rotted out is it?

The frame is immaculate. The springs look good at first glance but ill give them a closer look. The leaf springs and their bushings are factory, and the springs do sag a bit

I would check the leaf springs and rear shocks than.
