Thanks! I actually got rid of the drawer that I made and opted for 2 locking pelican cases instead. Working on getting a Bed Slide so that I don't have to reach as far for them lol, but that will take some time as my bumper is priority now :)

Ah, I see. I just love diy projects though...could you have converted your drawer system as a bed slide? Just "pop the top"...haha.

I'm taking a totally new approach with my current truck. I wrecked my double cab and am now back in my previous extra cab. So it'll be more of a daily driver, fun weekend truck. I don't plan on taking it on every long road trip like I did the dc (unless it's for an off road trip). So the bed storage/rack ideas have changed. We'll see what I end up with.

Spent $600 on this sticker but it came with a free set of leaf springs ;)

Now I need to adjust coilovers again and should be good for a while on suspension

Allpro had a great sale the other day on them, they were $100 off!

Cool truck, had one similar and miss it so. Still think the 1st Gens looked the best.

Thanks! I love mine. I almost traded for a second gen at one point but ultimately couldn't do it. Only thing I hate is the paint, but I would rather have it function great than look good!

Hold onto it. They don't build them like that any more.

I totally agree! I have no intention of selling it now. Just want to turn it into a beast and keep it forever now lol

    Beautiful

I need rear leaf springs too. Couple of questions Sarah, if you don't mind helping:

    1) How much higher did those rear leaf springs raise?
    2) What shocks (if any) are needed to run with those rear springs?

    3) Most importantly, how any inches/or what do I need in the front, to keep the factory rake by using those rear leaf springs?

    Thank you

    No worries at all!!

I went with the AllPro Expo leaves and I achieved 4" of lift with the bed rack on it, but once the RTT is on it will be about 3". I did have to get extended brake lines though!

I am currently running Fabtech rear shocks, but I am going to go with the King resevoirs to match my front coilovers. I believe an extended shock is needed to run these, but don't quote me on it.

To keep it level/factory if you went with a higher leaf, I would add 3" to the front. If you go with the Allpro standard leaves they lift the front 3 instead of 4"!

    Hope this helps

Thank you kindly. I have a LEER Cap on my bed, so likely same weight as the RTT you have? I didn't want angled CV in the front, so was hoping for the least amount of lift I could get on the truck. My suspension is all OEM and 15 years old, thus was hoping to do a full refresh :)

    Your build is inspirational.

    Why thank you!

I installed a diff drop on my truck so the angles were not as bad, and then I got high angle cv boots. A little costly but I would rather pay more now and have it all last longer!

Really love the look of this truck. Are your current tires a 285?

Thinking I might grab some Dakars, but not really sure at the moment. I've just avoided putting heavy stuff in the bed for a while

Thanks! Yeah they are. I was going to go bigger but haven't decided yet. Need to see the rtt on the truck too!

I hear you there, I did the same thing for a while, but offroading started to become a nightmare with flat springs and not carrying anything. Dakars are good too, I just went expos so I could carry the extra weight when needed
