i am currently running a 2.5" spacer up front and a 1.5" in back. i was wanting a little more lift so i was looking into putting a 3" lift on. i was wondering if anyone had oppinions on if i should put a 3" spacer or get a 3" lift with new coilovers? which lift would put less wear and tear on my truck in the long run? i dont do any offroading. is it worth the extra money to get new coilovers? Any help please

2" lift AAL and Bilstiens-front-rear,front diff drop. main drive drop
    Billsteins give a good ride.
    Just my 2 cents.
have them on my 03 4x4- set the front to highest setting-2.75.

Go with bilstein 5100's and eibach springs from toytec. It'll give you 3'' lift and a much better ride than the spacer. Plus it's a lot cheaper than coilovers.

I was looking into those too. If i would set them on the highest setting would that put more stress on the shock? And with a lift that high would getting new uca's help prevent any wear on the ball joints?

If you go the bilstein 5100/eibach spring combo then you would just put the 5100's on the lowest settings. With the stock coils you could put the shocks on any setting, but the ride wouldn't be as good as the bilstein eibach combo. UCA's aren't really needed on the first gens which is nice.

does that mean they can go higher than 3" if you set it above 0 or is that a bad idea?

When I had mine installed, the shop put them on the highest setting and it rode like crap. You don't want to put them any higher than the "0" setting.

    honestly...
I have no understanding as to why anyone would lift a prerunner :notsure:

    If it were muh junk...
the suspension would be upgraded to LT
    or left stock.

Deciding out of two lift kits. Fabtech 3.5" coilovers lift kit or Bilstein/Eibach 3.5 coilovers lift kit. Both have front and back lifts included and both are in the $600-$700 range. anybody know of anyone that ran the fabtech kit?

Well I have Icon coilovers now but I'm running 285/75/r16. Pretty much a 33'' tire.

When it got my truck (03 PreRunner) it has 3" blocks in back, 2" spacers up front and 3" body lift. I finally got to take off the 3" blocks off the back today and I am so glad them and the body lift is gone!! I may keep the spacers up front though, close to leveling out the truck.
