You're not the only one on the road, "bro".

That "thing" that people like to do *routinely* blinds me, and I drive a lifted 4x4 truck. I can't imagine what it's like for those who drive passenger cars.

    But yeah, you do you.

HIDs have always been what blinded me. That and housings that haven’t been properly aimed. I haven’t been flashed since I put these in and aimed my housings.

Ya I've always been annoyed with HID's since they came out years ago. People try to flash me with my fog lights when they're on but I just laugh bc I know MF's be out there with way worse and I'd rather people know I'm there. Shit's bad out here with snowbirds and CA people moving here. Gotta be as noticeable as possible or else someone gonna try to cut u off or merge into you

If you have to re-aim your headlights after replacing the bulb, that should have been a sign that something isn't right.

My right headlight had been aimed up when reinstalled years ago. When I put the leds in I aimed them down.

If you take off the grill and filler piece there’s little adjustment screws/bolts On the mounting for the housing I think. Mine was fucked from a wreck years ago and the body shop figured one headlight being aimed a few inches higher was no big deal

Feel free to read that link I posted earlier about why LEDs shouldn't be run in halogen housings.

But I'm sure YOU are different from all the other people who have come before you.

Look dude I’m not discounting people’s issues or anything but I haven’t had an issue with people running LEDs. It’s always been the HIDs for me, therefore I feel okay running something with a better color than the halogens.

HIDs and LEDs suffer the SAME FATE when installed in Halogen housings as per that link. They both smear the light and force people to aim them down if they don't want to blind other people.

Aiming your lights down defeats the purpose of brighter lights anyway. Your light might be brighter, but it's not being projected as far down the road.

I’m saying the color is the problem to me not really the light. There’s plenty of new cars that have headlights that bother me to an extent. But my issue is with the blue and yellow lights. And yeah I kinda understand how light reflection works

I find it funny the people running around with the purple lights. They're higher K values, so must be better right? lol... IIRC, 5 or 6k is best for visibility.

I have some Sylvanias that have a blue filter on them. Really whitens up the light. It's technically dimmer light since it's a filter, but the light is much whiter, and since it's halogen, the light beam is identical. I did the "proper headlight upgrade" (most of it, anyway) with the wire harness that powers the lights direct from the battery, new housings, and the same sylvanias I had before rather than the 80w Osrams form the "proper upgrade". The light is actually brighter just from the fact that the lights are getting direct battery voltage, rather than voltage thru the factory switch harness.

I think the biggest problem people have is when they're running old and faded housings so they want an "upgrade" because they think their lights are super dim. They are dim, but not because of inferior bulb technology, they're dim because of the fogged lenses. Simply replacing the housings (to get clear lenses) and getting quality halogen bulbs is by far the best thing to do.
