Does anyone know what I have to do to put the hood scoop on a 03 tacoma hood? I’ve seen have them just need to know what all needs to be done to make it look factory and clean

I've seen a few people cut out the hood scoop from 4 runners. Would need body work and to respray the entire hood to make it look clean.

To make it look factory and clean you are most likely going to have to do some cutting. Find any scoop that suits your fancy, preferably from a 4Runner or second gen taco, I think they look the best, cut it out and weld it into place within the cutout of your hood. There are some great examples of this, like this cat, he’s running a supercharger and has something like 500 plus thousand miles on his taco.

Yeah that’s what I was gonna do just find a wrecked 4Runner and buy the hood but someone told me it’d mess the hood up if I had it cut and welded in

Here is a thread I started 6 years ago step by step how to do the scoop foe a factory look.
It’s a lot of work but a great payoff

Not true, mine was done 6 years ago with no issues,
I guess if you do it incorrectly without welded it in , :)
Just go through my build on the link for this mod.

You could weld the scoop to the hood without cutting up the hood too I guess.
I wanted air flowing over the supercharger to cool it down so the scoop is functional for me.

Just an FYI the hood scoop insert is the same for 96-02 Toyota 4Runner 01-05 Rav4. Don't think the metal part of the scoop/hood are the same. But the insert with the opening is. There's a lot of Rav4's that came with factory scoops.
