I’m looking to upgrade my rotors, pads and calipers for my 03 tacoma. Anybody have any ideas about what company to use? It has ABS and I’m not totally happy with the brake performance and the back is drums. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Tundra brakes... do a search for it here...

Very popular mod and is a direct bolt-on unless you have 15" wheels. There are some fitment issues with some 16" wheels, but looks like your avatar is 17's? If that's the case, you should have zero interference.

Yes! The Tundra brake upgrade is my absolutely favorite mod to my truck. Braking difference is night and day.

@mechanicjon should have a template you can print out to test your wheels but they fit my 2017 16" TRD OR Wheels just fine.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
How are the Powerstops doing for you Tyler? I've read mixed reviews on Amazon (and other places). More good than bad, but I was curious what your thoughts are on them.

(A lot of the time, bad reviews on Amazon are because the person is a stupid shit and did something wrong)

    Pretty much stock right now
I didn't know about the tundra mod when I did my brakes, but did Tacoma power stop/drilled and slotted rotors. Braking is excellent. It's easy to screw up bedding the pads though if you can't follow directions.

They're decent. I had PowerStops before I did the Tundra brakes and from what I can tell, they performed good - but I couldn't tell much of a difference from whatever Autozone special the truck had before that.

The Tundra PowerStop kit it excellent. The Calipers are basically just remanufactured OEM Calipers so really only the pads and rotors are PowerStop. On my truck only the pads were PowerStop and the Rotors were upgraded to the discontinued Baer Sport Performance rotors.

The reason the 13WL caliper exists in the first place is because the S13WE caliper on the early first generation of Tundra was too weak so Toyota had to create a much stronger caliper and braking system.

You can see the huge difference between the old PowerStop Tacoma rotor and the Baer Tundra rotor here along with the Calipers:

I just wondered about Powerstop because I have read a couple reviews where it seamed like the writer(s) seemed to have some idea what they were talking about. There were some questions about their QC in the rebuilds with seaping and even plain leaking calipers. Also, I've seen where people have said their rotors warp.

Was just wondering if anyone here has had those experiences.
