Could you possibly take out a loan for the Hilux, buy it, drive your Taco till it arrives, then sell your Taco and pay off the loan?

well the owner is a toyota fan and an alabama fan so he or she is most likely extreamly intellegent. i would say u should post up in the georgia thread and ask some questions from some locals, but they may be competition for ur purchase. sorta a danged if u do danged if u dont type thing

I've seen the posts about this truck on Facebook. I don't know it if is legit or not. To me, it looks like a 1st gen double cab with a Hilux bed, Hilux badging, and a modified front grill. I also haven't seen any pictures of the diesel he claims to have in it.

There's 3 more new ones somewhere. This was taken on I-95 in Georgia in May of this year.

You'll have a hard time registering in Washington I think. These JDM cars are easier to register in Florida, South Carolina, Oregon, and apparently Georgia. There's a reason you just don't see them in our state. I have seen exactly one 2000+ JDM car with Washington plates. An authentic Integra Type-R that looks like an RSX. He must live near by. Anyway, I wrote his plate # down to do some snooping on it and it came back as a non existent # or car. So who knows whats going on there.

    Good luck

After contacting Idaho DMV a while back, it is possible here to register as a farm use vehicle in many cases. It may be the same in other states. I am in no way promoting "back door" approaches to circumvent registration issues. Another hurdle is insuring them. Many legitimate companies will not insure them. Do your homework :).
