Yea, yea, yea I had enough of a solid axle with my Jeep. Kinda liking the smoothness of the ifs for now...

 

Yea I just took it off No real difference other than being smoother over bumps and noticeably more travel. I can't drive it quite as hard on the road as I used to but thats probably a good thing
The AT2's are great. I had them on my Jeep and they do great in rocks, dirt, sand and snow, quiet on the road and just ok in deep mud. I went wheeling last weekend and the sidewalls got some pretty gnarly abuse on rocks and tree stumps and held up great.

 

I had an XJ prior to my Tacoma. I very much miss the flex of the solid front axle on the trail. Of course, the only other thing I miss on that XJ was the 4.0

 

I hear ya on the flex, but my 4.0l was a lemon and gave me nothing but problems. Though everyone I know who has a Jeep loves that motor. Mechanics luck I guess

 

Must have been a Monday or Friday motor.

That 4.0 was the only thing that didn't break on mine.

 

Made a front bumper/lightbar thing. Its solid enough to mount lights on and thats about it. But it was $20 and it'll last me until I can afford a winch bumper

 

TW meet at Hollister hills. She ran great, both inner cv boots are now slinging grease though.

Whatsup Mike, didn't know you were on here lol. I'd love to go to Ocotillo, its on my bucket list. But I got a new job and I'm moving to Indianapolis on the 4th...finally.

 

So I'm moving from Cali to Indiana. So I'm trying to do as much wheeling as I can as I drive east, despite having a camper shell and hundreds of pounds of junk on board. Here's some pics from Mojave and the broken arrow trail in Sedona, Az.

Sweet looking truck!!!!! Question what tire size are you running??? I know you said their 265's but they look waaay bigger than my 265/75/16 BFG's

 

Thanks! Yes they're 265 General Grabber at2's. They do look a little big in these pics because they were aired down to about 28psi and also my truck is riding close to stock height due to all the weight.
