Haha. Yeah i need to get that Decked system in...

Ohhhhhh speaking of that. Did you add a “whip” of sorts to the Inverter outlet when you installed it? I’ve got one in my Amazon cart right now but I’m not sure. Advice? Pictures?

I’m kicking myself in the ass for not doing that... im going to have to take part of it apart to put in the cord because I want to run a goal zero inverter back there... yes buy one now but make sure it’s the pancake head outlet or whatever it’s called where it is low profile

Do you have a link to one you’d recommend? Do you have to take the cover off to leave it plugged in? That’s actually part of the reason i haven’t put it in yet. I like to have everything ready to go at once. :help:

Anything like this I imagine would work, I bought a normal non low profile one and it should work too. I think the cover may be slightly propped open but that area is still accessible somewhat even when the system is in there.... just not enough to plug in a cord of course, I can get some pics of it tommorow

Also for the install it took me about 4 and a half hours and I did it by myself even tho it says u need a buddy... word of advice, don’t drop any bolts down the side of the system. Even after install there is about a half inch to an inch gap between the truck bed and the decked system which has already taken two bolts and a half inch socket

Ahhhh. Yeah if you get pics that’d be huge. I wasn’t looking at low pro plugs but I’ll have to switch up and get something like that. I was thinking a lit one so i could verify it on if/ when i need it. I’ve never used the one on this truck, but on my 2010 DCSB OR I used to run an electric fillet knife for cleaning perch or Walleye. Worked great. I just hate to lose the option.

Can i ask why you’re going Goal Zero? Instead of a dual battery? You’re right by adventure ready aren’t you?

I didn’t even know about adventure ready until I just googled it.... god damn it. Well I know what I’m doing next weekend.

I wanted to use the goal zero to power my flood lights for when I’m camping and also have the option to take it with me on my boat if I do an overnight float trip or move it around the campsite. I use the truck mostly for road trips and fishing and camping and I’m trying to talk myself out of a bunch of electrical mods. I only plan on putting two more floods in the rear and MAYBE a light bar in the front.

Has to go from the battery IMHO, i guess it depends on the Amp draw of your lights but those DSS are 7 or so Amps a piece.

Also i just ordered that Whip through Amazon Prime
