    Hi All,

Did some searching through the forums and am trying to figure out which exhaust system to add onto my truck. The three I have been looking at are Borla, Magnaflow, and Gibson. Will any of these actually add any performance ?

From my understanding and talking with with Borla, the 14945 will not fit extended cab without some type of modification ?

Magnaflow seems like a preference from most users on this site but cost is a bit more than Borla and Gibson.

Does anyone have any experience with the Gibson 18800 ? It seems to be about half the cost of the other 2 systems so I am leaning towards this unless it is much louder ?

I am not looking for anything loud and obnoxious, just replacing the factory with something I don't have to worry about for another 10 years hopefully.

Truck is at 200k and just going through and slowly replacing all the rusted parts.

My personal experience with exhaust is you aren't going to gain any noticeable difference other than sound.
I've had both Borla and Magnaflow and they are both great. I personally like the sound of the Magnaflow even though it is a bit louder.
I actually just bought another Magnaflow cat back for the 04 I just purchased.
I got it from HotExhaust on sale at the time. Right now they have a 20% off deal going on which makes it around the same price as Borla atm.

If no major gains, probably will just end up going with the Gibson then, since its about 300 right now. Just curious about how loud it might be compared to the stock exhaust

I've got a rusty muffler that's splitting at the seam, so I'm curious about the options listed here. One reason for the price difference is it looks like the Magnaflow is stainless while the Gibson is aluminized steel.

I had my muffler installed in 2014, so I was able to get around 6 years old of an aluminized steel muffler. If you live in the rust belt I'm guessing 3-5 years is more realistic.

After going through 3 different combinations...

1st, cut off old muffler weld in flowmaster Super 40 - cost efficient, eventually rusted out.

2nd, Borla cat back, nice alumininzed steel, however mounting style did not hold up well, poor mounting clamp style.

3rd and final, Magnaflow stainless, 3yrs going strong better mounting and clamps, and best tone for the 3.4 out of the listed above.

I'm running a JBA cat-back exhaust. It's not load at all. A little louder then stock and has a deep throaty sound.

I installed the TRD cat-back kit years ago. I take it that it is no longer available. Borla makes good stuff, I have their cat back on my Jeep. Whatever you buy, just make sure it is 304 alloy.
