    2004 Toyota Tacoma Xtra-Cab, 2.7L 4X4 – Black (waxed often)

    Title in hand.

(Wheels are 2019 Tacoma SR5 Alloys, pictured below)

This truck was covered under a Toyota service bulletin and received a new frame 7 months ago, installed by Toyota. Tacoma enthusiasts should be familiar with all of this and those whom are not, it’s an $8 Billion dollar lawsuit affecting hundreds of millions of Tacoma pickups. All of the details of this service as well as the regular service history are searchable with the VIN on the Toyota website.

    Details:

90,600 original miles on the 2.7L, 4 cyl. motor which is the original motor.
16,000 miles on the frame and it and was installed at Checkered Flag Toyota of Virginia Beach in May 2019 including all brake lines, shackles, leaf packs, lower “A” arms spare tire and any associated hardware and mounting rubber.

Milton Ruben Toyota has since performed the following:

    - Cooling system flush
    - Upper and lower engine flush & clean
    - Transmission flush
    - Front and rear diff flush
    - Both CV Axles replaced
    - All belts and cracked hoses replaced

I have replaced and/or installed the following which have 16,000 miles or less use:

    - New Complete drive shaft
    - New Center bearing or “Carrier” bearing
    - 2019 Tacoma SR5 Wheels
    - New Rotors
    - New Brakes
    - Fox 2.0 Coilover front suspension
    - Bilstein 5100 rear shocks
    - JBA High Caster Upper Control Arms
    - New tie rod linkages
    - New Sway bar Linkages
    - New headlight assemblies
    - Amber marker lights
    - CBI Ditch light brackets
    - NiLight Harness w/ Clear LED floods and spare set of Amber Floods
    - Bullet Liner Spray in bedliner (Dealer Options, Augusta)
    - 20% Window tint
    - Class 3 Hitch
    - Flowmaster FX cat back exhaust
    - Floor Mats

I also have an almost new set of complete front spindles and hubs that will go with the sale. I planned on installing them, but have been injured and out of work.

    Sound system: (Installed July 2019)

    - Head Unit - Pioneer MVH-200EX Double Din w/ Bluetooth
    - Front and Rear Speakers - Infinity Kappa, 682.11cf, 300 watts RMS
    - Subwoofer - Sundown 12", 500 watts RMS, E-12 V.3, 4 Ohm
    - Sub Enclosure - Sound Ordinance Ported
    - Main Amp - Taramps TS 400X4, 2 Ohm, 4 channel, 400 watts, full range, Class D
    - Sub Amp - Taramps HD, 3000 watts, 1 Ohm mono, full range, Class D

This truck is available for viewing daily. Interested, serious buyers are welcome to a test drive, please call or text. I will respond to e-mail when I am able, cell phone is attached to my hip mostly.

I’m not looking for trades of any kind, not even trades with cash.

All decent cash offers will be entertained!

Yes I realize I’m priced about $3,500 over KBB Excellent value, but that computer algorithm has no account of what a NEW frame is worth on a truck that is going to run 300,000+ miles. Or the other $5,000 in new parts that have been installed in the last 7 months. I have $16,000 invested total.

Whom ever gets this one will have a truck from the last year of the 1st Generation pick-ups (2004) and a basically new one. I would put my Wife and kids in it today and send them cross country with zero worries.

I hate to see it go, but we have just purchased a new vehicle and this one is no longer of use.

$10,500 Or Best Cash Offer – No Trades, No Exceptions!

I’m curious has the gas mileage changed much with the lift and tires?

It did get around 20 mpg stock. My best calculation now has me at 18 mpg. However, the majority of the time I am running in the upper end of the 70 mph spectrum. Smooth as butter I will add.

To answer the "why are you selling" questions:

    1. I have 2 small children, if my Wife's 4Runner goes down or is in the shop for anything. She has no backup vehicle to pick everyone up from school etc.

    2. This truck is not the best option for a long distance commuter. Mpg is poor at 18, and no cruise control.

My best argument for keeping it is that it hauls my kayak when I go fishing once every 4 months. The rebuttal is that we have a very nice 2016 4Runner that can take the kayak.....

This truck, with its configuration has a niche where it's perfect for someone and I think my current position in life has placed me in the need for different capabilities in a vehicle a.k.a. I'm married with small children and I spend most of my life at work... not the lake, in the woods/desert, camping or at the MX track anymore.

I upgraded all the things on this truck to suit the 25 year old me that lives in my brain and hopes to do all those things I just mentioned. In reality I'm never going to do any of that stuff because my days off are planned for me as a Dad and frankly I'm too damn tired to do much of that after a 60 hr. work week. I show up to the mill and it's dark and it's dark when I pull up at the house in the evening.

Someone out there can use this truck and enjoy it for what it is. I'm not that person anymore.

I took the listing down because I could not sell it and not have a vehicle. We now have a new vehicle, so this one can be sold without creating a hardship. Apologies for the confusion.

This truck is for sale, I have the title in hand.

I'm not going to do holds, wire transfers or take money off the asking price for buyers whom need to buy a plane ticket to get here.

It's first come, first serve and cash is king. Let's not make this a weird transaction.

I'm in Augusta, Georgia. Come see it, drive it and buy it if you want it.

Very interesting story on why you need to sell. I am heartbroken over any man that "has" to sell his truck. You my friend are a fine man and a fine American.
