I intend on pulling the stock bed to measure for designing a flat bed over next two weeks. I will build at a height of top of current wheel wells and fabricate a water tank, generator box, air compressor box and storage under bed in available space. I will then build a rack system around an ATV. The ATV will be winched into place. The rack will be vertical from sides of flatbed and then tilt inward. The inward rack will support spare tire and other side shovel, jack, tracks and other. On another thread I am rerouting exhaust to fit a second stock fuel tank.

I am building an 04 double cab tacoma. I have Donahoe racing coil over shock lift, extra leaf which will upgrade soon, TG low profile bumper, TG rock sliders, and Skid Row skid plates. I recently purchased a timing belt kit, throttle body spacer and intake and filter which I am to install asap. I do not care for my stock wheels and intend on replacing them with steel, although not much to choose from. I will purchase 255/85R/16 BFG MT KM tires before I depart for Alaska from Colorado. I have removed rear seat and over the next couple of weeks will build a storage chest with draws in it's place. The tricky part is removing the bed, replacing it with a flat bed, and build side storage which a rack will extend from that will tilt inward, which I will store tire plus gear, and on other side a shovel, tracks, and hi lift jack. This rack system must allow an ATV to be winched into place. This storage and rack system will be built around the ATV. I also want to relocate the exhaust can and install a second stock fuel cell if possible. I am stage one cancer and once I am stage two, I intend to leave my job and depart for Alaska to hunt for a year. Let the adventure begin

Hi everyone, I have completed lift, F bumper, winch, sliders, wheels, skid plates front-tranny-transfer case, and replaced rear seat with chest on 04 tacoma. Oh and replaced timing belt plus other stuff and throttle body spacer and intake. My son and I decided to build a desert racer with our 91 toyota extra cab pickup and tonight we pulled the 2.4 to replace it with a small block chevy 407 lol. The fiberwerx front fenders and hood is to arrive Aug 31st. We should have between 12 to 14 inches of travel. I have photos of both builds, but have not figured out how to upload them lol. Elk season begins Aug 27th and I have a nine day solo hunt scheduled. I have not placed my hunting cameras or done any scouting because of the excitement of truck building, but I have chosen my happy hunting ground. It is about six miles off a dirt county road and my tacoma should carry me three on a jeep trail lol. Me and my forty pound pack will go another three miles lol. Our freezer is empty and so is our bank accounts lol. If we haven't broken anything we are not pushing hard enough, and if we are not broke, we are not spending enough.
