Great trucks plain and simple. Only thing I wouldn't agree with is the price.

My uncle has owned probably half a dozen Rangers since 1994, the first one being a fully loaded 1994 with the 3.0L and 5-speed that he special ordered and bought new, and the most recent one being a base model 2011 that he bought used. All have been incredibly reliable and given him no problems. All but two of them have been automatic, but he's had at least two with each engine (2.3L, 3.0L, and 4.0L). The only thing that concerns me is the higher miles. What year is the truck you are buying?

"Fix" and "repair" have the same meaning...

You meant to say "Fix Or Replace Daily"...

Personally find this very humorous because I have been in this situation where my lady friends dad owned a shop and had a junkyard in it with an Astrovan lol.
technically you can fix something without replacing it. Lol but the way to fix a ford is to replace it also.

I have a 1993 ford ranger 4.0L v6 for sale that has a rolled over odometer and is beat up. Check the oil and coolant every fill-up. Body rough and no heat or A/C. Interior is rough too. $1250. Brand new windshield.

    I would look for a 2.3 if wanting mpg's
Had 2 through the years, easy to work on and good thing...laughs, they weren't too bad really.

    I found a 2007 single cab ranger automatic 4cyl 40kmiles, mint condition frame/body/paint/interior.
It's been sitting on a guys property in my area for over a year. He bought a full size truck and just left the ranger parked.

The owner (has title) says the top of the engine is making a slight tick/rattle noise. I have not run the engine myself yet.

Hes been looking for the keys for a few days but wants to sell it. I have not made an offer yet.

Do you ranger owners know if this tick/rattle is a common problem? Valve tick? Cam bearings? Any common issues with a 2007 4cyl or tranny that i should be inspecting for?

I'll update once i run it. Thanks
