Hello all - My Taco's making some loud clicking/clanking noises. Front end - both sides. Happens when there's upward travel, sharp bumps, sudden incline at speed etc. Thoughts?

    Little bit of stuff.
For rattles over bumps, my first suspect is always the sway bar links. Nothing else seems obvious to me, but I gotta hand it to you OP. This is single handedly the best video I've seen from someone looking for help diagnosing. Props!

Edit: Although I'm not sure if there is supposed to be that kind of flex in the shock towers seen in your top -down view

    Welcome to TW!

I have no clue what that could be, hopefully someone can chime in who has had that same noise. I would check the entire suspension, look at the welds on the shock towers for cracks, look for loose bolts, and check your ball joints. If there is any play in your ball joints they are toast. But what @Masshole_And_His_Taco said makes sense. Def props on the vid.

Thanks Masshole_And_His_Taco and Prayn4surf - I figure I should be as thorough as possible before asking for advice. Video is super helpful. Sway bar is on the list - I hear there's a factory torque value for this - ill let you know if it sorts the issue. I agree with the movement in the shock towers - it looks sloppy to me. I'm going to check out the strut mount welds as well.

I think I can see a little slop in the lower ball joint at apx 24 seconds. What I an looking at is the gap between the offset of the ball joint arm and the joint itself with the rim as the backdrop... it looks like there is a slight hesitation between when the assembly starts to rebound and the joint itself starts to react... if that makes any sense... then again I have been wrong before.

Are those new front shocks? It could be the top hats on top of the shocks. They have bearings that wear out over time.
