My ABS light came on,soon after that my naked started acting up. Sometimes the pedal would go all way to the floor when pressed other times the pedal would be hard, when they got hard to push the brakes would start to drag. Every time you push the pedal ,it gets harder to push and drags to the point where the truck will barely move. Let it sit and they will release, sometimes shaking the truck upon release. Found ABS wires cut, fixed them and light went off. Now if you get on the brakes real hard ,left frnt locks up and truck will hardly stop. Normal stopping seems to work decently but get on them hard and left front wheel locks up. New master cylinder but when we bled the brakes,no air came out. First hard stop, left front locks up and hardly stops at all. Bled 24 oz of Synthetic brake fluid thru the system, still noticed no air in lines. Anyone had this problem before?

I have a 04 TRD ad well. I had to replace my MC as well.

It was a major pain bleeding the entire system. I had to fab up a power bleeder using my vacuum oil extractor. I went thru a half gallon of break fluid before all the air was out. That fluid has a long trip. The ABS module is very restrictive. You think the system is bled, but its not. Keep pulling fluid.

Thanks Kirk,I'll run some more thru it. I know at least part of the problem was the master cylinder but can't figure why the left front wants to lock up. That was same wheel that had the ABS wires cut and it was a few weeks before got around to finding the problem....coincidence?? On a gravel road if you get on the brakes very hard it locks up every time and the cpl of times I got on the brakes hard it locked it up on asphalt too. It was odd, that after changing the master cylinder ,bleeding the brakes and running about 30 ounces of fluid thru the system I never seen any air in the fluid at all. One time we accidentally let the reservoir fluid get too low, filled it back up and continue to bleed the lines. The second time we pumped it up and released the presssure, air was already in the line and coming out. This was the passenger side front wheel.
