Looking to get some wheel spacers on my 04 TRD off road pre runner sitting on stock rims. I'm not sure if adding 2" spacers would be to much to go with , would I have enough threading left to lug the tires on? Not trying to have my wheels fall off

You probably may need to get longer lugs.

2 things. there are no 2 inch spacers that are designed to the point where you would ever "worry" about the original studs not being long enough. all spacers thicker than 3/4 would bolt on to your hub like your rim does, and it would also have new studs for your rims to bolt on to.

if youre looking at spacers that aren't designed like the aforementioned. stay away from them. here's a pic of what to look for.

you can see how these would mount on your current hub with your current lug nuts, and offer new studs for your rim to mount on to.

another thing... I believe your hubs need to be pressed out in order to change your wheel studs. which means you need to pay at least 25 dollars for the labor each hub, 60+ for the bearing each side since pressing out old bearings destroys them, + $30 for new studs. and that's just for the front!!!!! your rears youll probably need to spend 50 dollars to remove each rear hub to change out the studs, plus 60+ again for new bearings, and another 30+ for studs. then theres downtime......

basically. dont think about getting longer studs. just get a pair of spacers for 60 bucks that bolts right on your setup.

yeah, but like I said. "i believe". some trucks have bearing cup and cones. those are super easy to do on your own. and the rear axles may have enough room behind the hub to just hammer out the old ones. though I don't know how you would get the new ones in.

also stock studs are nearly 2 inches long. I don't think any manufacturer out there makes studs 4 inches long for our trucks.

You don't have to press out your hub to change the studs. Just take the wheel off and rotor and caliper. And you just hit it out and hit in the new one.

I used my stock studs and these 1.25" Spidertrax wheel spacers mounted right up on all 4. I have aftermarket wheels but all I had to do was get deeper lug nuts to make it work. Even w/ stock rims. Good luck!

these are the kind of spacers you want to get, notice the lip which still gives you the center "hub" (as mentioned Spidertrax will get you 1.25", BORA makes .75-2" spacers)

but I'll refer you to @mlcc question as to why you want spacers.

heres a pic of mine I have coopers 285/75R16 with stock rims and a 3in lift and .25in wheel spacer upfront the tire still rubs at full lock on the upper control arms but not as bad if it didn't have them and the lug nuts still have plenty of bite on the studs
