05-08 Overhead console w/temp & compass

    just had a problem with the temp sensor plugging into my 05 harness. Looks the same but it wont snap together and the display wont read anything. Light work though! lol. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!! Hope I bought a working display. J/K

    most likely resistor 510 is connected badly. re-soldering it is an easy and cheap fix. plugs are the same, but wiring is different.

    the ambient temp sensor should just snap into place on that plug. check the resistors 510.

    It doesn't wanna snap together for some reason... I think the rubber seal in the connector on the truck is hard and stopping them from coming together. Got a connection though so its good enough for me rite now. I took it apart, found the 510 resistors and re-soldered them back to the board. works now! :) It was easy to see that one of the resistors were free from the connection point. I broke one tab off the display case and put a tiny burn mark in the screen when doing this repair. Luckily the burn is in the bottom corner and isn't seen at all when unit is back together and in truck. very easy to do I just drink way too much coffee to be doing things like this. My hands were shaking all over the place. LOL
