That's not too bad I guess, saves a pain in the ass. I think it should be in the BST section though.

    Right? WTF?

At least these dudes didn't spam all the old wheel bearing threads.

edit: not that I'm opposed to competition but I just think it's odd.

You are right about that. I had been reading and reading about people with failed bearings, and have been replacing them here at my shop a good bit. I started talking about it with a friend of mine months ago, and just started a couple of weeks ago with the heavy research on trying to find an aftermarket supplier of the Pre-runner hubs.

Why would you think it is odd? Not really any different than all the places here that offer custom suspension parts or bumpers. I just see a need for something, and try to provide it for a fair price. Nothing "odd" about that.

I am not sure about anyone else, but I have only been set up in my shop to do this in the past year. I have replaced a lot of bearings at the shop and a few months ago me and a couple of other members were talking about this. It took me some time getting with suppliers to try and find the best deal, where I can put these entire units together, ready to bolt on. The hardest part has been trying to get the correct hubs for the Prerunners. Can't seem to find any outside of Toyota.

Cheap HUBs, before you could get them from Toyota for like $200+ and bearing assemblies where $150+ right there you have $350 in parts just for one side. It was cheaper to buy 20 ton press and do it myself :):)
