The ebay listing title should say 12-15 not 11-16. I think the seller made a mistake.

The conversion looks so good! I always keep an eye out on junkyard websites to see if i can come across a front yet... Still undecided tho if i'd actually pull the trigger haha

I have started this and have bought everything on your list except the grill insert and the fog lights. I noticed your fog lights are yellow in a pic but then your link is for clear lights. I am wanting the amber fog lights. Is your link accurate for those yellow.lights?

The link I posted was the previous set of clear white fog lights I had installed in my truck for a while. Here is the current amber set I'm running.

You'll need to buy these if you purchase the amber fogs.

Thanks! I also just got my grill insert In. I guess I just take the middle part out and use the aftermarket grill? I haven't ordered that yet because I want the grill with the amber lights. This grill just seems pretty solid but I guess the middle will come out?

Yeah the outer surround can be removed from the center grille and swapped over to whatever you buy.

Don’t be. I did this conversion in my garage with a ratchet and a few common sockets prior to it heading to the body shop. Very easy in my opinion. If you have questions, feel welcome to contact me via PM since I’m in SoCal

Agreed, compared to a lot of vehicle front ends the tacoma is very easy to work on. 90% of the swap will involve 10mm bolts.

Also do you know if the hood scoop from my 06 would work for the 2015 hood?

No the 05-11 hood scoop has a different shape than the 12-15 hood scoop.

Are the bumper reinforcement brackets reusable? Or should I just order a them too? It seems like they are the same part, just unsure if they are easy to swap over.

Op, just to be a bit of a pain in the ass, do you happen to know the parts that are in the eBay bundle? Like if I want to purchase all those small brackets separately?

Curious what it cost to repaint the hood/bumper etc since I am in SoCal as well. Did you use OEM or aftermarket stuff?

I resprayed my entire truck, so I can’t give you a number for the front end only. I sourced all oem parts. Found a used sport hood, grille surround, bumper and bumper support. I bought new headlights, grille and brackets.

    I have the major parts
    Headlights, grille, hood
    (Aftermarket bumper)
I don’t recommend anyone go to the dealer for the brackets and clips. They will cost over $500 at the dealer
I tried rock auto, cart came out to $250, but no shipping to CA because apparently these parts are cancerous (but only in CA)
OP thanks for the eBay link, going to try to make a new car and hopefully it’s not outrageously priced

Pretty much exactly what I'm trying to do right now. I would like all OEM brackets just because otherwise I feel like it's going to look crooked.

I'm also worried about the price on painting, since I'm sure it's skyrocketed like everything else.

Exactly why I went with oem parts. I wanted everything to line up properly. I managed to find all the parts for the conversion for about $1,400. Definitely recommend trying offer up, Craigslist and used dismantlers. Had I bough used headlights and a used base model grille, I would have saved about $600. and as a reference, I sold my 05-11 front end for $600..

I’m assuming to paint the front end and blending it to the rest of the body would run about $1,500-$2,000. But maybe someone that has a body shop or experience could chip in

OP, I have a few questions for you. How different are the fender liners? Do you possibly have pics? I am going to do the swap, but would prefer to keep the original liners if possible.

Also, in the ebay link, where do they triangle shaped brackets go? I believe they call them just "bumper bracket".
