Sweet thanks for the info guys! Upon Further inspection it turns out the main gray wiring harness wasn’t plugging in all the way! That seemed to get ride of the hard shifting, but it seems like it still wants to start off in 2nd gear when I get going so my engine needs to rev way higher to get going from a stop then normal. Also when I put my foot to the floor to see if it’ll downshift it will only drop a gear or so and only rev to about 3k?? I took it to a tranny shop and he said to pull some codes and try to clear them and if they don’t clear and go away then it could possibly be the wrong tranny because in his computer he saw that a 2011 transmission (which is what year tranny I got) isn’t compatible with my 2006 truck. I pulled 8 codes just with an OBD2 and when I cleared em only 6 codes went away. I still have 2 codes. Those are shift solenoid A and D high circuit. Is it possible that the 2006 and 2011 transmissions are slightly different in the wiring and this is what I’m getting these codes, because that’s what the guy at my local transmission shop was getting at. I’ve seen on eBay people list there transmission as 05-07 and 08-11 but I asked around and everyone said all the a750 transmissions will fit from 05-15. Did I get this wrong?

A750F are all the same, mine came out of a 4runner. Did you properly adjusted the shifter to the transmission? Do you get any lights at the dashboard? @gearcruncher , @6 gearT444E what you think?

Someone not so long ago shared the part number for the remanufactured CV that was like 150$ less than the new one.

I Havnt seen this swap thread .
I will add it to the transmission swap page
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...-4-wheel-drive-or-automatic-to-manual.702733/

He,s got codes stored in the computer memory . Thats why the transmission is shifting hard and starting off in second gear . Also doesnt sound like overdrive and the locking converter is functioning . Clear those codes and its going to start off in first gear and upshift good .
According to Toyota , only 2005-2008 transmissions will fit in a 2006 application but other members here at Tacoma world have installed A750F transmissions out of a 2015 and it worked fine
Diagnostics can be found here .

Some of the axles don't come with the hub seals. They are a PITA to install if you don't have the right tool but NAPA has the axles with the seals installed already.

Good to know! The seals your referring to are the same ones the guy from Toyota said are on backorder. Couldn't have been better timing, I'm buying my axles today!

What's the catch, They are significantly cheaper from Napa? Toyota has them at $397 and Napa is $121 a piece? Any Pros or Cons ?? Id like to save the coin but I buy once cry once. Thoughts?

This is the seal they are talking about. By the way I went with cardone on 665235HD from Rock auto. Paid like 80 bucks each. I have put them through some serious stress and they have work perfectly.

I've been using the NAPA ones for several years now on and offroad and havent had any issues with them so I would say they are well built.

Turns out the main big gray wiring harness wiggled loose. Super stoked it was just that! I pulled it and and clean out both ends and i can tell already it clipped in better. All the codes went away and is driving just fine now!!

Nope, haven’t have the chance to go to the 1k since 2014. Was out on the East coast for some time and got back just to come across the rona’ times and couldn’t make it. But I have everything set and ready for this 2022 starting with the 250.
