Been thinking about twin transfer cases lately. Haven’t found much in regards the automatic route. Any info?

Damn, just felt in to the rabbit hole. Any experience on this stuff? I’ve heard that doing lower gears on your transfer case does the trick as well. Seen some aussies doing that stuff on their cruisers and hiluxes.

Gotcha, just rear all the common questions portions and pretty much explains it all. Obviously one thing is more important for the DIYer is personal experience from installers as well. That think is cool. And about 1700 buckaroos sounds better a really good comparison to front locker, re gearing and doing a 33’s.

I have fully built my crawl box but I have not installed it in the truck yet as I’m still rounding up parts for my 4wd/AWD conversion. That being said though, if you have any specific questions about assembly I can try and help there.

With a chain drive planetary case it's not possible to change the ratios due to the planetary gears being part of the design into the case itself. The older gear driven cases input shaft can be swapped to get you a 4.7 reduction compared to a 2.28 factory.
