Hey gang. Happy Father’s Day to all y’all. .. so I’m at the point of stabbing the new transmission on but ran into an issue..

that alignment pin by the starter on engine side, I also have a pin there on my new transmission. Male to male to worky. Any ideas? Why do I have that on the transmission side? My A750E didn’t have that.

It does rotate. Any trick to pulling other than buying the tool?

Wish this guy was that easy. Tried that for about an hour. It’s spins… just won’t pull out.

    That's what she said.

I came here to learn how to convert my 4WD truck to 2WD, but I'll just read this one in reverse. :rimshot:

With no Harbor Freight on-island (no shipping either), and no transmission jacks in the auto-parts store I think I'm going to go with this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/254553041038

What jacks are everyone else using?

    Which island?

I’ve got the Harbor Freight one, of course.
I wish there was an easier way to get things shipped out there. I had a friend who lived on the big island for several years.

That one looks pretty solid though if you decided on it.

I went with B&R Autowrecking, still waiting on the parts to ship but the customer service has been really good so far.

I live on Kauai. There must be a tool shop here that has them but I haven't found it. I think I'll go with that eBay one

I used a 500lbs harbor freight hydraulic table. I’m getting a ton of other uses out of it. Worked ok for the transmission

Just built a little platform out of wood and bolted it to my regular floor jack. Had the scrap wood so it was free.

I’m sure it can be tough to track certain things down there.
If I thought it would be cost effective I’d pick up the HF one and ship it to you, but we know how that goes. I think you’ll be good with that eBay one.

On another side note, have you been to the Russian Fort Elisabeth in Waimea?
I’m a bit of a history dork, I remember researching it a while back

Looks like a pretty simple walk around it all, might be cool. It was the history of it that caught my eye.
