Hey guys, I am selling my bed rack that was custom made. Girlfriend keeps nagging that she’d rather have a camper shell and I’m siding with her, lol.

Bedrack is made for long beds ONLY - It is a full length of the bed rack. No company makes a bed rack that has covers the whole bed like this. This means it is the perfect size for XL tents such as the GOFSR, Smittybilt XL, Tuff Stuff Elite, etc. Rack is 76” long and 18” high, which keeps a GOFSR tent only a few inches about the cab line. Having this 18” rise means you can fit stuff in your bed, unlike those 0-8” rise ones :)

I’m located in Orange County, CA. I’m asking $300 for the rack. Trades are accepted too!

The All-Pro rack would work well for you. Pretty sure I saw one on craigslist or facebook marketplace for sale. I can dig up the link for you if you want! :)

Thanks for the offer. I've got a few other expenses in the way right now though.

Dont want this to take away from selling your bedrack, so...

    Bump

Is the rack currently bare? Does it mount to the slide rails? Can you still use the rail accessories?

Rack is painted black. It bolts directly to the bed rail mounts (not t-slot nuts).

The angle iron covers the bed rail, but 5 minutes with an angle grinder and you can cut out areas where you want the bed rail to be open.

    Ok, some more questions ...

The 3rd pic has these cross bars, but they are missing in the last pic; are they part of the hold down system?
How, exactly, is the rack bolted down? I don't see any holes.
If the side rails on the rack covers access to the OEM rails on the truck, can the rack rails be drilled to install T-slot bolts?
Does the top of the rack obstruct the third brake light? If it does, this would be a deal breaker for me; so, maybe answer this Q first.

    1) Those crossbars were used to space out the angle iron when welding. They are not there on the rack now. If you scroll up to the picture of the rack painted black on the ground, you can see them gone!
    2) The rack bolts onto the bed rail bolts. There are tiny holes on the side of the bed rack (2 per side) that allow you to bolt it directly into the bed rail. Why would someone go this way? Cheaper and easier than T-Slot nuts!
    3) Yes, the rails can be cut to accommodate for T-Slot nuts, but they're more of a PITA in my opinion! Definitely can be done.
    4) Whoops, should have read this first. It does cover the third brake light. Only way to not cover it is for the rack to be at cab height, or barely above the bed sides. If you're mounting a tent, it's hard to keep the tent below cab height and not cover the third brake light!

I'm in a rural town patrolled by both the CHP and sheriff. The CHP quickly point out vehicle violations. They made me put covers on my PIAA off road lights. As for T-Slot nuts, a cheap replacement are half inch carriage bolts with two edges ground down about 1/8 of an inch. You can do the same with flange nuts, although I don't remember what size someone used. Also, Zoro sells T-nuts for under $4 each. Thanks for the prompt responses; the brake light obstruction kills it for me.

No worries! Only way you're going to get around that one is going with a tall rack! Best of luck.
