Posting up some more photos so you guys and gals can see how you need to use the OEM harness to hook everything up. I had an extra set of 05-08 tail lights from back when I had my 05. I used that harness instead of the ones from my 2012 OEM LEDs. Everything is pretty straight forward.

 

so no hyper flash with the amber LED turn signal?

 

Negative, all resistors are built in. Besides using the OEM harness, all plug-n-play.

 

That black square on the back is the resistor to keep it from hyper-flashing.

shoot i wish there was a photo with the reverse lights. I saw the older generation of this LED one, which is like less than $200, but has a section for the reverse lights compared to this one. I'm not sure which is brightest. Cant compare much on youtube.

 

I will admit, the reverse lights on these suck. I partially blame it on the tinted lens (they do have a non-tinted lens version). I have the OEM bulbs in the reverse lights right now. I tried my generic LEDs in them and they were worse. I'm looking into some Morimotos at the moment. If all else fails, I mount up some auxiliary LED pods. The park, brake and directional lights are BRIGHT though. Overall very happy with them.

 

I just ordered them in smoke/black. I can NOT wait to get these installed they are by far the best looking tail lights ive ever seen on any tacoma.

 

Ok everyone, is it just me or does having a clear lens for these tail-lights look pretty ugly? At least the OEM ones has some kinda mask that hides the bulb, but the other you can clearly see the bulb. I'm starting to think of returning it.....anyone else have this issue? Is that why some others went with a smoke design? I wish love the design of the parking lots and such but why wasnt this bottom reverse like just like the previous design?

Why didnt they LED the reverse light as well?

 

Not liking seeing the bulb , that really doesn't make much sense. That would keep me from buying them.

 

I'd be all over these if they shipped to Alaska, which makes very little sense considering they ship to Hawaii.

 

too bad the reverse light sucks on these. Nice looking lights.

 

I like the lights, they have that new GMC style look. The reverse lights are SO SO SO bad though.

 

I went with the clear 05-15 LED Tacoma tail lights and couldn’t be happier.

 

In response to the reverse light, not terrible but could be way better. I have after market led reverse lights that were super bright with the stock tails but now are OK bright with the new tails.

 

I have the smoked, i definitely wish i had ordered the clear instead....

 

nice and bright, even with just the running light. I would run with these reverse bulbs because the led are aimed outwards instead of trying to utilize the reflectors(which are painted and useless in these tail lights):
