05-15' strut spacers compatible with 3rd gens?

So just a general question for those who run them.....

I have a 16' Tacoma 2wd with a 4" spindle lift and 5100's all around w/front set at 0 and Dakar leaf pack. I just got tires and wheels and rub so looking to trim and go to a 6.5" of lift but don't have the strut spacers that Maxtrac provides for that size kit and certainly don't want to spend $140 on them.

I found Hell Bent Steel makes some 2.5" spacers similar to Maxtrac's but powder coated blue and black (to match my truck ) BUT it says for 2005-2015 Tacomas. Rep said they haven't installed on a 16' but customers have replied saying they work....

I'd really like to get them but want to make sure they'd work on my truck. Is there a difference on the top of struts between a 15' and 16'?
