This looks really cool. I like the tie down slots but can you make an option where I can pass through a tie down strap? Like a larger oval or square maybe 3 inches wide?

Seems like a few companies make these now. Does anyone have any input if these will help with the bed wearing out at the bolts in the front? I already wedged it a few months ago but it's already knocking again.

I think I like the one with the bottle openers better

I'm new to 2nd gens. At first I thought the composite bed was cool (no rust to worry about!) but over the weeks I've been exploring the 2nd gen section of these site, I've heard a bunch of downsides

People worried about the composite breaking down due to sun exposure
Apparently, the bed sides can start to flex and get sloppy, which is why these brackets were made
And the post above talking about the bed wear out 'at the bolts'??

Jeez, is it safe to say this composite bed is a bunch of nonsense? Should I be careful with it?

No, don't be careful. I dump loads of gravel in it all the time at the payload limit of the truck. I off road with the heavy flippac camper shell on the back and no issues to far, but I'll probably do this to be safe. Doesn't seem to be a super common problem just insurance.

Did you remove, clean, and lube the bed bolts? I thought the passenger front bolt was tight but my bed was making a ton of noise. Turns out it was still loosening up. Pull the bolts, clean and lube the threads with anti-seize, clean the threads in the bed (I used some compressed air and a tap with a little anti-seize on it) and torque evenly. I'm not sure of the spec ( maybe 40-50 lb/ft.. I'm guessing). Bed is now quiet..
