Looking at buying a lift for my 4wd DC LB in about two weeks. Getting lots of different opinions about which way to go since i have a long bed. curious some of the ups and downs and personal experience with either a 3" toytec ultimate package or the new RCD 4.5" that i just read about or some kind of 6" lift. HAven't explored the 6 to much but few people said since its a long bed to do a 6. I will be installing myself and looking to spend around $1000 - $1400 in parts not including wheels and tires. Any sugestions or comments would be awesome. I plan on running 285's or 33's on either a 16 or 17 inch wheel too. Just a little more info for ya. let me know what you think and why that is your choice. Thanks

Stick on hood scoop from Autozone.
Don't go above 4.5. The RCD set-up is sick.

3 in lift, 18 in wheels, Moto Metal M0957 (Black), Magna FLow dual exhaust, Viper remote start/alarm.

I just read the first thread about the 4.5in RCD lift. They are saying it is around $2100.00. I am wanting this too, but will have to buy it piece by peice as I can only afford so much at a time. I am wondering if they will let me do that.

you never know but my guess would be that they only sell it as a complete kit. Might be more parted out.... I was looking at the same kit as well the new 4.5 rcd kit. I talked to my local install shop and they were looking close to 3k installed with tax and an alignment.... Its a hefty price to pay for an extra 1.5 inch of lift... with the revtec kits starting at 339 with the add a leaf option I am wondering is 2500 more bucks worth 1.5 inches? I can get a complete set of wheels, lift for 2k.

    thoughts?

ya i agree. im goin with the 3" so i can get tires too. Im pry gonna keep my stock wheels. Not woth the extra money for a little more lift. Hell if u want another inch or so just squeeze a little bigger tire and do a little cutting
