So put seafoam in it. Still nothing.

Pulled carb back off again today. And ran carb cleaner and a Tip Cleaner tool through it.
Put it back together, its better, but still does it.

I rode it yesterday on some trails. The part that gets me is, when we first got out, I would go WOT and it would start cutting out, then all of a sudden it would run perfectly fine, all in the same gear.
At first, it would run fine in 1st gear, but the other gears would have the problem.

My thought it with this way, it almost seems ignition problem. With it being all in one WOT time in the gear, where it would cut out, then go back to normal.

But towards the end of the day of riding last night, it got worse and worse, where I coudlnt even be low RPMS in higher gears with out it cutting out. Could only go like maybe 30mph.

I ordered a KN air filter, wont be here until next week. And I think Im just going to go ahead and make the purchase for a Hot Shot CDI Box.

its gotta be something with the carb... might be worth pulling the carb and taking to a repair shop to see if they can diagnose the problem.

Tried running sea foam through it? I bought a kfx400 that had sat for awhile, and it had the same problems you are describing. Ran can of sea foam through it in two tanks, and it worked itself out.

EDIT: NM, just read you tried that.

    No, have not done that.

When we first got it, it was pretty low on gas. So I just filled it up with Shell 93.

Then Seafoam has been in it. Since you guys told me to run it in the tank.

Guess next thing would be drain tank and clean it out.

when you drain the tank and clean it out clean the carb again since stuff would have been sucked back in there, you can also put a fuel filter in the gas line

Ok, heres where Im at on this.

Stock filter, i believe, paper filter with foam outter. Anyways, it was a little wet. Dried it out, but still was a little wet.

Bought a KN filter for it. Drove around, still was doing the same stuff.

Took the lid off, RUNS PERFECTLY FINE. Its a whole new beast now.

Only problem there is, around 1/4 to 3/4 throttle, just crusiing around, has a small hesitation. Push full throttle, takes a second, then takes off like a bad ass like it should.

So with my thoughts, is getting too much fuel.

I have NOT messed with the air/fuel screw yet. But I guess it might be off. Again this quad is compleltly stock with less than 20hrs.

But, I believe ill be buying a HMF exhaust and Jet kit for it soon.
