So I read that the subaru tweeter is the way to go for our trucks and that it is plug n play for late models. Unfortunately for us early model folks, our harness is not plug n play.
So my question is if anyone knows, if you can cut the male plug/wires from a late model and use it on my 05 to make the tweeters work? If not, any recommendations for plug n play tweeters for 05s?

Anyone have a picture of the male plug on their 2016+? I would like to compare it to what I have.
I'll try to take pics of my harness tomorrow for a better visual aid.

I have never heard of using Subaru tweeters but that doesnt mean people haven't used them before. I am unsure why you're concerned about plug and play and I'm definitely not sure why another harness would be cut from a different truck to make it plug and play, technically that isn't plug and play anyway. I personally would be much more concerned about your musical tastes and tweeter design than a plug and play design as you're severely limiting your choices and it's just not a big deal to hard wire in mids and tweets.
