I am on my Second Taco, This one being an 05 TRD 4 Door Long Bed, typical 3" Pro Comp Suspension Lift, 33" AT/3 Tires on Fuel 16" Chrome Rims. Modest upgrades until I paid it off. Last April. 6 years was a long note on an 8 year old Truck at the time. But I will happily do it all over again when I hand this 160,000 Mile Beauty over to my oldest son in a couple of years when he turns 16.

Today is the first day that he has jumped in and helped me with repair and maintenance work on the Taco and I couldn't have been prouder. Unfortunately, we didn't finish pulling the CV half Shafts in order to replace seals and the CV Half Shafts on Both sides as I had hoped we could...

Totally through no fault of my Son's Help of course, But for my lack of expertise in tackling the Replacement parts. For some Reason no Matter what I have tried, I have been unsuccessful at getting the drivers side CV shaft to let go and I Mean I have tried everything I can think while continually researching manuals and Tacoma forum posts and you tube video's. Pry Bars, Slide Hammers, Freak'n I even got so frustrated that I took a 1" Masonry Chisel and a 2# Est wing Sledge trying to beat the darn thing out. And then after 4 hours and 200 dollars in tool rentals I still have my little red truck sitting on Jack stands in the Front Driveway.

I have looked in your site for 7 years now and have never logged in as anything other than a guest. as I do not use my computer for communication unless work related. But I am Happy to be here and believe that I will learn hopefully all of the tricks for the repairs that I need to fix my Taco. Mechanics are not getting any cheaper and My wife Lost her Job after she had a minor wreck in the Yota and then a Major wreck in her acadia and now we are down to our 3/4 ton Gas hog Mud Truck that I used to haul heavy equipment and to play with in the woods so I wouldn't tear up my Tacoma.

She isnt a pavement pounder, But I have shown her a lot more respect than I have the Farm truck.

I didn't mean for this to be so long of an introduction but I just came in after working on Red and wanted to introduce myself and possibly pick the brains of all of you awesome Taco members.

Thanks for the patience and I am happy to be here.... offically now instead of as just a guest.

    Jimmy.
