So, to all from before thanks so much for your advice... the local salvage yards are a bust, no one wants to do a nationwide search, received no follow up to requests, i even drove 3 hours to ft worth to a yard and when i showed up they had misinformed me, the door had been sold weeks earlier. so, ive found some doors on Ebay.. MY QUESTION to ALL KNOWING ONE... will a DOOR from a 'double cab' mate up perfectly, we no modifications for my truck which is 'extender cab' ???? thanks in advance ............... oh yeah, fun fact, the major repair stations and dealers in my area will not take cash paying customers even though the insurance company has already paid me... On a side note to vent frustrations about the vandalism, we know who the little cccckscccckrs are, the worthless bucolic fat-azz west texas sheriff knows the little ba.stards but obviously there is not f uq all to be done, I just told them if i saw them within 1000 feet near my street their rotting corpses' would never be found. yeah i know, big talk from a fat ole guy... Nice neighborhood though. thanks again all !!!

this bottom hinge point is tweaked ever so slightly, maybe 60/1000ths on an inch but enough to make life miserable.. i think i have access to the back side from the interior.. if anyone has a definitive answer to whether a door from a double cab with match up perfectly to a frame on an extended cab i'd love to hear from you... thanks

The best way to search a greater area is this web site:

    Car-Part.com--Used Auto Parts Market

PS: you may need to get that A Pillar pulled out at a collision shop. Having it tweaked like that will cause problems when the door is fully opened.

I thought I read somewhere that all the 2nd gen front doors were interchangeable, wish I knew for sure.

I just swapped a front door on my truck but the door was from I think a 2013? I have a 2012. The only difference was an internal plate was different than the original so I just had to keep that plate from the new door. I had grabbed the old by mistake.

Swapping doors is somewhat easy and a 2 person job, just trip the old door of all parts and the wiring harness since most junk yards cut the wires at the door
