    Hi,

My 2005 Tacoma TRD Sport is really starting to become a lemon - too many parts that have failed me, some twice over - c'mon Yota your 6 speed tranny has a design flaw. 3 throwout bearings? The original, the upgraded one and now my aftermarket fix. My old 76 Ford is doing better.

Anyhow, my airbag light is now on too. Took it to the dealer and they replaced the clock spring under warranty, but the light stayed. They said for $180 they could tell me what the problem was. I replied, "Thanks, but no thanks....for 2 pennies I can bend a paperclip and jump the connectors on the OBD port and find out for free, seems a little pricey for a 2 min procedure."

It came back with a code 32 - copilot seat is causing issues. I checked all the wiring and pigtail connectors, but they seem fine. It has to either the seat ecu or one of the seat occupancy sensors. I did replace the seat cover because my seat fabric wore out from getting in and out the truck (seat fabric is still good in the 76 ford) and I thinking that maybe it somehow screwed things up.

Is there a way to manually reset the srs system without going to the stealership? Sorry to knock on the dealers, but $180 for a 2 min hook up to a computer and press a couple of buttons?

Anyone else having so many issues with their truck? 3 throwout bearings, both cats, idler pulleys gone to shit and loud, 4WD actuator gone shit, body ecu fried, keyless entry receiver toast, speedometer and wiring meltdown, needle bearing in the front diff, torn seat fabric, overhead compass failure, wheel bearings, struts/shocks, clutch....some of those are normal wear and tear, but.....the 76 for is still on the original clutch and shifting is tight. My shifter is so loose I can't tell if I'm in neutral or gear....sloppy, real sloppy. This is my 4th Tacoma and maybe my last....sorry, too many problems. 9 yrs old and disappointed

Unhook the battery for a minute then recheck. If it stays out your fine if comes right back on you have a hard fault and your airbag might not work in a crash.

Have you had the radio out recently?

My 06 with 127k has had 2 cats leaf Springs overhead console temp gauge belt tensioner and as of today a left rear wheel bearing
