It sounds like the PCM is coming and going if the CEL isn't staying on.

The A/T temp, Oil and Check Engine lights should stay on with key in run.
    I just confirmed it.

So, we fooled with the IGN fuse and miraculously had communication to the ECM and power to the EFI fuse. And now we don’t?

Maybe fool with that fuse again:rofl:

Yea I'm wondering the same thing, do we have intermittent power or ground the the PCM, is the PCM flaky, or is something else going on.

I can't get the scanner to detect the ECM all of a sudden. That's not good

I tried that. Removed good fuse and put old one back in. Lost power. Something is wrong with that old fuse for sure

Still have power coming out of connector 1f on pin 13 so power is getting through fuse block to ecm

I meant is your battery not weak (under 12v)?
Have you checked power at E8 Pins 1 and 2 (Black) since we resolved the first problem?

    I’m still catching up.
    See if this sounds correct.

    1. We had no power orange wire pin 9 of E8
    2. No power to EFI 2 fuse.
    3. Changed IGN fuse and got power to orange wire and EFI fuse.

If so, it looks IGN power at the ECU controls the EFI command.
Maybe keep the key on and test light on the EFI No2 fuse. Start wiggling wires and fuses, Once you see the EFI No2 fuse light up, you found a problem.

I mean, I’m pretty lost as of now. I’ll keep thinking on it.

Should those have power? Because with key on I have no power at those pins

    Yes they should.
And the EFI No2 fuse will have power too.

Yes they should have power with the key on, they are fed by the EFI relay so if you have power at the EFI No 2 fuse but not at those terminals we are looking for a broken/corroded wire.

Ok I have power at them now. It seems wierd. But maybe I just suck at pinning them and didn't hit the connection the first time

    So, we need to confirm

    1. Power at EFI No2 - Yes or No

If yes, maybe move to connectors 1B and 1H?

My battery is not holding a charge. Maybe low juice is causing issues?
