No sir, just drilled out and then a 1/2" Grade-8 bolt secures the skid through them with a nut up inside the frame rail.
I'll Add you into the main list.

Hi Eric, great job on the skids (I wish I had more money right now). I had a question about the T-Case Skid, and how it mounts to the Mid Skid. I see the Mid Mount bolts to the cross-member, and I see the rear bolt mounts for the T-Case skid, but how do the 2 connect to each-other? How easy are they to separate if needed?

Also looking to see what the answer is here. It looks like the T-case skid is simply resting on the mid skid.

Looks to me like it mounts using the same hardware... Through both the tcase and mid skids and into the cross member.

That was my initial thought as well, but it seems like it would be a PITA to reach those bolts without a 10" extension and elbow joint.

Gear wrenches FTW! Took me like 15 minutes to mount it up by myself, excluding drilling the two holes, course I'd had it on and off a few times. Obviously start with a pilot hole and slowly work your way up as you're going through two pieces of c-channel frame.

They mount with bolts that run from the cross member through the mid skid and then if you get the t-case skid they go through that and it sandwiches everything together. 4 bolts total. Remember, it's clamping force that keeps things together, not typically the shear strength of a bolt.

Nice, thanks for clarifying. I didn't know how much clearance there would on the top/sides, plus I have fat arms and meatinitis digitarus (sausage fingers). Thanks again man.

Yes, and longer bolts are required(and included) to go through the cross member and all the skids. Its a tight fit to access, but can be done.

Thanks for filling them in Max. :)
Will add you to the list!

Eric, please add aluminum mid skid to my IFS order. Would it be possible to cut Relentless into the front of the IFS instead of just the "R"?

I also need information to send you the mulla.

    Thanks!
