    You're going to need the screws like the bottom one on the tailgate. I bought mine from the stealership. Part # 90166-6003 You'll need 7 of them.

    I keep trying to look them up on line, but no such luck. Every Toyota site I run across doesn't even show the screws in the diagram. What's up with that? That part number gets universally rejected.

    Edit: Found it! You left out a zero. 90166-60003.

    I primed the entire thing first then just sprayed the area that would be left exposed. I reused the plastic panel. Hopefully the bed liner spray holds up, I carry lumber, ladders and tools all the time. I only used weather stripping on the face of the tailgate where the lip bends down. I tried it on top too but it wouldn't allow me to slide it down far enough to have the screws line up. I also had the two torx screws on the top of my tailgate I removed. Once it was dry it took me all of 10min to install, it's really simple.
