I think another factor where heavy bikes are concerned is simply distributing the load. Run a 700 lb bike up an 8" wide ramp, you're asking for trouble.

I'm looking at 550 #'s and at LEAST 24" wide, probably more. I'd agree the aluminum is probably adequate.

Anybody need the top 7 bolts to run this reinforcement panel? You can reuse the stock bolts if you reinstall and drill out the OEM tailgate piece over the top of Relentless' piece.

$12 or so from a dealer. Mine need a home for shipping cost.

Would these bolts prevent having to drill out the oem tailgate cover holes? If so, what would it cost to mail those to 87107 from your location? Or are they used only when you don't re-use the oem cover?

Only used without the OEM cover. I bought them initially and drilled the OEM cover later so I was able to reuse the stock bolts.

I'd throw them in a flat rate box, so $6 or so to whoever wants them.

All plates are formed, picking them up in the morning and will have my team sending out bare orders tomorrow, and we'll drop the PC orders at the coater.

Hoping to have mine by 4/22, leaving town the next day...possible, I guess. I'm having it shipped to my work, so it'll be ok either way. Can't wait to check this out personally. Feels like Christmas eve as a kid.

I can attest to the aluminum being plenty strong. I'm about 250 lbs and sit in the middle of the tailgate with no problems whatsoever. I'm glad I didn't go steel. Plus people have this really annoying habit of opening and dropping my gate. That would slam down pretty damn hard if I had the steel plate.

We called this afternoon, they said possibly tomorrow but I'm going to say they probably won't be in my hands till Monday. Most times they'll give me a day and the parts won't be finished for a couple more days. Here's to hoping they actually are done tomorrow though!

Relentless, is the GB still on track? I am about to return stateside from this deployment and would definitely like to get this done to the truck before I PCS overseas.
